The local Ninth Annual Huntington’s Disease Hoop-a-Thon held last week brought in over $11,000. All funds will go towards finding a cure for Huntington’s Disease.

Organizer Amanda Damewood commented. “Despite the warm temps, families and shooters came out in great support of the 9th annual hoop-a-thon. The balloon clown and Sky High Bounce inflatables kept the kids busy and the baskets were full most of the event” with shooters seeing how many baskets they could make at the free throw line in a five-minute period.

Top fundraisers were Destiny and Dakota Einerwold who brought in over $3,300. For their efforts, they received four tickets to a Sioux City Bandits game.

Top shooters in the event were:

* Adults – Tim Randall, first; Jess Munger, second; Terry Peterson, third

* High school age – Austin Glawe, first; Daniel Jeckell, second; Cole Feltner, third
