Dr Ed Wild, Clinical Lecturer in Neurology, Co-founder of HDBuzz and Specialist Registrar at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, talks to the Huntington’s Disease Association of Ireland in Dublin in May 2013. Dr Wild gives an overview of the latest Huntington’s disease research in plain and accessible language. Topics covered include research basics, big reasons to have hope, gene silencing, phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors, kynurenine mono-oxygenase (KMO) inhibitors, histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibition, BDNF, neurotrophic factors and TrK agonists.
